Speaker: Guillem Ylla, Group leader of the Bioinformatics and Genome Biology Laboratory at the Jagiellonian University. He obtained postdoctoral training at the Department of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology at Harvard University (2019-2021) and at the University of Florida (2018). He has a strong background in biology and evolution combined with computational skills acquired through my B.Sc. in Biotechnology (UVic, 2012), M.Sc. in Omics Data Analysis (UVic, 2014), Ph.D. in Biomedicine (UPF, 2014-2017).
Bruna Oriol, holds a BSc. in Biochemistry (UB) and a MSc.in Omics Data Analysis (UVic). She did a PhD in Immunology at IrsiCaixa AIDS Research Institute where she also worked one year as a data steward. Finally, in 2023 she transitioned to industry as a bioinformatician at Almirall.
Georgina Fuente, holds a BSc. in Biotechnology (UVic) and completed the Master’s in Omics Data Analysis at UVic. During this program, she carried out her master’s thesis at ISGlobal (Institute for Global Health), where she pursues a PhD. She is currently about to begin the fourth year in the Endocrine Regulatory Genomics research group at UPF, investigating the genetics and genomic regulation of type 1 diabetes.
